Trenten Gauthier is an Assistant Director in the Athletic Communications office. He works with Minnesota's softball and soccer programs and rejoins the Maroon and Gold after a three-year stint at South Carolina.

Gauthier previously served as a Communications Assistant with the Gophers from 2017-2018 and worked with wrestling, soccer and women's tennis during that time. He also was the secondary contact for men's basketball.

At South Carolina, he served as the primary media contact for women's soccer and track and field programs and assisted as the secondary contact for women's basketball.

Gauthier, a native of Clintonville, Wis., also previously served as a student assistant in sports information with the University of Wisconsin-River Falls for three years. He worked with 16 different sports while earning his undergraduate degree in journalism. He was also the sports and social media director at the school’s radio station for one year.
