CHRISTOFERSON EARNS ALL-AMERICA HONORS AT NCAA MEET, GOPHERS 22ND

Christoferson earned the first All-America award of her career by placing eighth in the 400 individual medley in 4:44.56. Earlier in the season, Christoferson won the Big Ten title in the event.
Minnesota's two Friday relays earned honorable mention All-America status. The 200 medley relay team of Christoferson, Kelsey Hegener, Terri Jashinsky and Jenny Hennen tied for 11th in 1:54.58, and the 800 freestyle team of Jinny Smedstad, Hennen, Jashinsky and Christoferson finished 15th in 8:14.39.
Hegener and Jashinsky also earned honorable mention All-America status individually. Hegener placed 13th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.92, while Jashinsky took 15th in the 100 butterfly in 1:01.71.
