GOLDEN GOPHER SWIMMERS TOP NATIONAL RANKINGS

Chad Krastins, Todd Smolinski and Justin Mortimer have the fastest 100-yard butterfly (48.83), 100-yard backstroke (48.55) and 1,000-yard freestyle (9:09.66) times in the nation, respectively. The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Mortimer, Brandon Crook, Terry Silkaitis and Matt Taylor also ranks No. 1, swimming a 6:42.35. All times were set during the Golden Gophers duals versus North Carolina and North Dakota Nov. 2-3.

The Golden Gophers will next be in action when they host the Minnesota Invitational, November 16-18, with competition starting at noon Friday.
