GOLFERS IN 11TH AFTER ONE ROUND AT LAS VEGAS INTERCOLLEGIATE

Sophomores Ben Meyers and Wilhelm Schauman, the nation's 16th-ranked collegiate golfer, each posted team-low scores of 76 in the opening round. With their rounds of four-over par, Meyers and Schauman sit in a tie for 25th place. Rounding out the Minnesota golfers are Zach Faulds at 78, David Morgan at 81 and Simon Nash at 84. Jeff Quincy of Arizona State shot a three-under 69 to take the early lead.
The 15-team tournament, hosted by UNLV, features 14 ranked teams (according to the latest Mastercard Collegiate Golf Rankings), including No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Clemson and No. 3 Georgia Tech
