Minnesota Women Swimmer's Continue Competition at US Open

The team of Megan Moore, Keri Hehn, Juleen Rodakowski, and Dana Baum placed second in the A final of the 400-meter medley relay. Their time of 4:17.88 made the National cut by nearly 10 seconds.
Juleen Rodakowski swam the 100-meter butterfly in 1:03.16, just shy of the national cut by seven tenths of a second. Rodakowski placed sixth in the A final.
In the 200-meter freestyle, Dana Baum placed seventh in the B final. Baum came in with a time of 2:05.96, which is less than a second slower than the NCAA B standard time.
Carol Crouthamel swam the 400-meter individual medley in 5:01.91. Her time garnered her a third place finish in the B final.
"Dana (Baum), Juleen (Rodakowski), and Carol (Crouthamel) really swam great today, commented Coach Jean Freeman. "The relay was great and is a full 11 seconds faster than our relay last year at this point."
The Gophers will continue competition in the US Open Swimming Championships tomorrow. The event will begin with prelims beginning at 9:00 a.m.
