Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Windon Memorial Classic

Individually, the Gophers were led by junior Josh Persons who recorded his second consecutive runner-up finish. Persons fired a final round 68 which propelled him into a tie for second at 1-over 214. Sophomore Bronson La'Cassie, the tournament leader after round one, tied for 14th at 6-over 219. Senior Ben Greve carded an even-par 71 in the final round and tiee for 19th at 7-over 220. Sophomore Naill Turner moved up from last place after two rounds into a tie for 35th after carding a final round 69. Junior Ryan Paulson tied for 50th at 227.
Minnesota continues its fall season Oct. 25-26 in Eugene, Ore., at the Pac-10/ Big Ten Challenge.
