Smith Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week

NatUniversity of Minnesota men's golfer Justin Smith recorded his sixth top-10 finish of the season by tying for ninth at the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson over the weekend. The senior, who is a finalist for the Ben Hogan Award, shot rounds of 70-72-71 to finish at three-under par with a total of 213. He finished the event six shots behind winner Ryan Moore of UNLV. Smith is 4-under par for the entire season thus far in 2003-04.
