MGF: Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at Puerto Rico Classic

Two Gophers finished in the top 15 individually, paced by sophomore Bronson La'Cassie. After an opening round 78 on Sunday, La'Cassie shot a 4-under 68 on Monday, followed by a final round, 5-under 67 on Tuesday to finish tied for 12th place at 3-under (213). Junior Ryan Paulson finished the tournament tied for 15th place after closing with a 1- under 71. Paulson ended the three-day event with an overall score of 214 (-2).
Other individual results include, sophomore Niall Turner with a final round 72 to finish tied for 49th with a three-day total of 224 (+8). Junior Josh Persons and Ben Greve both finished tied for 53rd with a three-day score of 225 (+9). Greve shot a final round score of 70, while Persons shot 75 on Tuesday.
The Gophers return to competition on March 19-20 when they travel to Atlanta, Ga., to compete in the Schenkel Invitational.
