Gophers Ranked No. 4 in Both Division I Hockey Polls

The University of Minnesota women's hockey team enters the second half of the season as the fourth-ranked team in both the U.S. College Hockey Online and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. The Golden Gophers are one of four teams ranked in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Wisconsin is ranked third in both polls, while Ohio State is ranked ninth overall. Minnesota Duluth rounds out the WCHA teams with an eighth-place ranking in one poll, while holding a 10th-place ranking in the USA Today poll.
The No. 4 Golden Gophers and the No. 3 Wisconsin Badgers square off Jan. 5-6 at Ridder Arena. Friday's game is set for 7 p.m., while the Jan. 6 game is at 4 p.m. The Badgers also have a four-point lead in the WCHA standings with 27 points. The Gophers follow closely behind with 23.
