Gophers Finish 12th At Boilermaker Invitational

The University of Minnesota men's golf team finished 12th at the Boilermaker Invitational in West Lafayette, Ind. The Gophers shot a final round 307 to finish at 61-over 925, 43 shots behind tournament titleist Indiana.
The Gophers were led by senior Josh Persons who tied for 17th at 10- over 226. Persons fired a 73, the best final round score posted by a Gopher today. Sophomore Clayton Rask carded an 81 today dropping him into a tie for 33rd at 16-over 232. Freshman Victor Almstrom carded a final round 75 and tied for 45th at 235, one shot better than teammate Niall Turner who carded a 78 today. Freshman Andrew Paulson tied for 58th at 241.
Minnesota is back in action in two weeks at the Fossum Invitational on Apr. 22-23 in East Lansing, Mich.
