Gopher Wrestlers Ready for Run at National Title

The top-ranked Golden Gopher wrestling team finished its final preparations for the 2007 NCAA Championships in Detroit, Mich., on Wednesday. Minnesota's nine grapplers went through the required medical checks and a team practice, while heavyweight Cole Konrad and head coach J Robinson met the media. Minnesota will begin its quest for a third NCAA Championship on Thursday when the tournament kicks off at 10 a.m. Central at the Palace in Auburn Hills. The first session will include pigtails and the first round.

Go to ncaasports.com for tournament information and live scoring of all the matches. Audio interviews with wrestlers and coaches following each session will be available in the Gold Zone. In addition, replays of all the matches will be available in the Gold Zone within the next two weeks.
