Team USA Moves Into Third Place After a Great Performance

With a team total of 364.00 points, Team USA moved into third place behind China and Japan at the 2007 World Gymnastics Championships. A united effort by the team catapulted them into a certain berth in the Team Finals and a spot at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. This World Championships is the qualifying meet for the 2008 Olympic Games. The top 12 teams from this competition qualify to the Olympics.

Former Gopher Guillermo Alvarez had a solid meet in the all around, scoring an 88.15 and posting the highest score for team USA on floor exercise with a 15.70! There were two more sub-divisions to go after USA finished and those results are not yet in.

After the final results are tallied I will send you more info!!!
