Gophers Host Clinic with Girl Scouts

The Golden Gopher women's gymnastics team hosted a clinic for Girl Scout members on Saturday, December 6. The two-hour event took place in the Gophers' practice facility, Peik Gym. Members of the gymnastics team led participants through six stations: vault, bars, beam, floor, dance and trampoline. Alexis Russell and Kylie Smith worked with participants on tumbling, while Angela Walker and Yuri Nagai taught dance. On beam, Carmelina Carabajal, Kristin Furukawa and Briana Jones led youngsters in practice on the balance beam. On trampoline, Kendra Elm and Jamie Bullock taught leaps and jumps. Lucy Ennis and Jade Beattie worked with the Girl Scouts on vaulting, while Ana Balboa and Julie Kinal worked with the uneven bars.
