Gophers Ranked 11th in the Varsity Eight Poll

The University of Minnesota rowing team enters the spring season ranked 11th in the country. The Golden Gophers moved up two spots from the preseason poll, which had the Maroon and Gold ranked 13th overall. Yale holds the top spot, followed by Virginia, Brown and Southern Cal. Among Big Ten teams, the Gophers rank third. Ohio State is fifth, followed by Michigan in eighth and Minnesota in 11th. Michigan State, Iowa and Wisconsin are not in the polls, but are all receiving votes.
