Gopher Women Place 13th at Indiana Invitational

The University of Minnesota women's golf team posted a final round score of 322 to finish in 13th place on Tuesday at the Indiana Invitational. The Purdue Boilermakers, the sixth ranked team in the nation, won the event by posting a 54-hole total of 12-under 852. Ohio State finished second, four strokes better than third place Illinois.

Freshman Mary Narzisi carded the lowest score of the invite for the Gophers, a 16-over 232 after rounds of 76, 77, 79 and finished alone in 39th place. Junior Paige Broman, playing in only her second spring event, tallied a 20-over 236 (75, 76, 85), to finish in a tie for 46th place. Freshman Teresa Puga and junior Young Na Lee rounded out the scoring for Minnesota with scores of 237 and 245, respectively.

The Gophers are off until April 19-20 when they will head to Columbus, Ohio to take part in the Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational at the Scarlet Course in Columbus. The Gophers last played in the Lady Buckeye Invite during the spring of 2006 and finished 15th.
