Senior All-American Jenny Barnes is this week's featured student-athlete on the Big Ten Conference website. Named the 2007 Big Ten Athlete of the Year, Barnes is a two-time first-team All-American for the Maroon and Gold, the only first-team All-American in the program's history. Coming to the Gopher program in 2005-06, Barnes has rowed in the First Varsity Eight for three years after coming from the club team at Purdue. Barnes was a member of Minnesota's two NCAA Championship boats in 2006 and in 2007.
