Chat Live With David Fischer on Wednesday

Get an inside look at the upcoming Gopher hockey season on Wed., Oct. 14 at noon (central time) in a live chat with senior David Fischer.
Minnesota opens its season on Fri.-Sat., Oct. 16-17 at Western Collegiate Hockey Association rival North Dakota. Fischer, an assistant captain in 2009-10, has been one of the team's top defensemen the past three seasons. The Apple Valley, Minn. native was a first-round draft choice of the Montreal Canadiens in 2006 and also won the Minnesota Mr. Hockey Award out of high school. He has played in 118 games over his first three seasons with the Gophers.
