After two rounds of the Bridgestone Golf Collegiate in Forest Oaks, N.C., the Golden Gophers (293-291 – 584) sit in 14th place out of 15 teams participating. The University of Michigan is in first place at 16-under after rounds of 283 and 277. Minnesota is currently 24 strokes behind Michigan and two strokes behind Toledo and Virginia Tech.

Senior Ben Pisani again paved the way for the Gophers. Pisani, with rounds of 68 and 69, sits alone in fifth place at seven-under. North Carolina’s Jack Fields (72-63) and Michigan’s Jack Schultz (66-69) are tied for first at nine-under. Pisani will look to close the gap with Sunday’s final round.
