Junior Derek McCallum (Shoreview, Minn.) was 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. McCallum has now driven in a run in six straight games, and has tallied 14 RBI in the last five games for the Golden Gophers.

Indiana starter Eric Arnett hurled a complete game, as he pitched nine innings, gave up six hits, two runs, walked two and struck out 10 Golden Gophers.
The game was supposed to start at 11 a.m. (CT), but was delayed by two hours due to rain. When the game finally started, Minnesota took an early lead on a two-out solo home run by McCallum in the top of the first inning to put the Golden Gophers ahead 1-0.
In the bottom of the second inning, Buske pitched around a leadoff double by Alex Dickerson as he struck out the next two batters and got Tyler Rogers to ground out to first to end the inning.
The Golden Gophers pushed their second run across the plate in the top of the third inning to take a 2-0 lead. Geason got things started with a single up the middle, and moved to second on an infield single by Nohelty. Pettersen loaded the bases with walk with one out, McCallum plated Geason with a fielder's choice RBI ground out to move the score to 2-0. Arnett limited the damage by getting Kvasnicka to pop out to end the inning.
Indiana got a single run back in the bottom of the fifth to cut the Minnesota lead to 2-1. Kipp Schutz got things started when he reached on an error by the third baseman to star off the inning. With one out, Tyler Rogers reached when a pop up dropped in short center field. Evan Crawford reached on an error to load the bases, and Vince Gonzalez drew a bases-loaded walk to bring home Schutz to cut the Minnesota lead to 2-1.
The Hoosiers took their first lead of the game in the bottom of the sixth when Dickerson hit a two-run homer to left field to push Indiana ahead 3-2.
In the top of the seventh inning, Justin Gominsky drew a two-out walk to keep the inning alive. Geason followed by hitting a deep fly ball to left field that nearly gave the Golden Gophers the lead, before Schutz tracked it down at the warning track to end the inning.
Indiana looked like it was going to add to the lead when Crawford led off the bottom of the seventh with a double to right field, and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt. Crawford was tagged out at the plate when pinch-hitter Chris Hervey missed a suicide squeeze bunt attempt. After Hervey's base hit, Rasmussen retired Jerrud Sabourin to end the inning.
