Gophersports.com caught up with current Golden Gopher players Kyle Knudson and Seth Rosin to talk about their respective experiences in Summer League All-Star Games this past week. Knudson started in the Northwoods League All-Star Game at catcher for the North Division and also participated in the Home Run Derby. Seth Rosin was also named an alternate for the West Division All-Star team in the Cape Cod League, and had the opportunity to go to Fenway Park for the game. The following is a quick description of each of their All-Star experiences.

Kyle Knudson on the Northwoods League All-Star Game:
"I really enjoyed the whole experience of the day from hanging out with the other players and meeting new people. I was also in the Home Run Derby, which was pretty exciting. Even though I didn't hit a home run, I still enjoyed the experience. As far as the game went, I played the first five innings and went 0-for-2. It felt nice to get voted in as the starting catcher. I felt honored that the coaches and GMs from around the league saw me as someone who deserved to play in the Game."

Seth Rosin on the Cape Cod All-Star Game, which was played at Fenway Park:

"I was an alternate for the West Division team, which meant if one of the pitchers who was scheduled to throw an inning couldn't I would have filled in. It was an awesome experience seeing Fenway Park from a different perspective. I got a chance to talk with some of the great players from around the country, and I also got to talk about some different aspects of pitching with some of those players. All in all I had a blast and am thankful for getting a chance to be a part of the event."
