Competing in their final event of the fall season at the Bridgestone Classic in Greensboro, N.C., the Gophers are in a tie for ninth place after two rounds. Minnesota posted rounds of 287 and 289 over the first 36 holes respectively, and sits 12 shots back of fifth place at 576 heading into Sunday's final 18 holes at Forest Oaks Country Club.

Senior Donald Constable continues his impressive season thus far, and is currently tied for sixth place. The team captain carded a three under 69 and a four under 68 in rounds one and two, and is now only one shot off the lead at -7.

Playing in his second ever collegiate event, freshman Alex Gaugert is 74th and sophomore Jon Trasamar is 76th with 18 holes remaining.

After shooting a tournament low round of 268 in the second round, North Carolina holds first place by six strokes over Michigan at 548. Virginia Tech is in third with 557, while Auburn sits in fourth at 560. Tournament host UNC-Greensboro is tied for fifth with Charlotte at 564.
