Grand Prix Day-by-Day Preview

Friday, Nov. 12
Events: 200 free, 100 breast, 100 fly, 400 IM, 400 free relay

The event to watch is the 100 fly where Olympian Magnuson will compete in the event in which she captured the silver medal in Beijing.

From a Gopher point of view, the 100 breast is the top event of the day. Minnesota All-Americans Jillian Tyler, seeded first, and Haley Spencer, seeded third, will battle in the event.

Saturday, Nov. 13
Events: 200 fly, 50 free, 100 back, 500 free, 200 breast, 800 free relay

The 500 free will be an exciting event. Olympian Sutton will face off against Gopher alum Jennings. Current Gopher Ashley Steenvoorden, seeded second, and Hannah Whitehead, seeded fourth, will also compete making this perhaps the top event of the weekend for the women.

Spencer and Tyler top the field in the 200 breast, coming into the Grand Prix ranked first and second, respectively.

Sunday, Nov. 14
Events: 1,650 free, 200 IM, 200 back, 100 free, 400 medley relay

Magnuson is entered in the 100 free. The top Gopher in the event is sixth-seeded Meagan Radecke.

The 1,650 will be a rematch of the batlle in the 500 free. This time, however, Ashley Steenvoorden comes in with the top seed.
