Jared Allen Visits Wrestling Practice

Just days after returning home from a weekend road trip to California, the Minnesota wrestling program had a special guest at Tuesday's practice when Vikings defensive end Jared Allen stopped by to visit with the team.
Allen spoke with the team about his physical and mental training regiment and how his faith affects him on and off the field. The three-time Pro Bowler even told the Gophers about his brief stint as a youth wrestler that ended when he saw a singlet for the first time.
As it stands, Allen might be making a second trip to campus next week when the Vikings host Chicago on Monday Night Football. TCF Bank Stadium is currently being prepped to host the game after the Metrodome's roof collapsed this weekend.
