GSS Highlights Wrestler Kevin Steinhaus

Gopher Sports Spotlight makes its first visit of the season to Minnesota wrestling and spoke with Kevin Steinhaus, a redshirt freshman from the small town of Pennock, Minn. Steinhaus has been a force in the 184-pound weight class and currently owns a 14-2 record in his rookie season. He has won his last five matches, including back-to-back wins over nationally ranked opponents, to jump into the national rankings at No. 9.
Earlier this week, Steinhaus was honored as the Big Ten Wrestler of the Week.
After taking final exams and enjoying a short break for the holidays, the No. 3 Golden Gophers return to action on Dec. 28-29 at the Southern Scuffle in Greensboro, N.C.
