Alicia Rue Claims Yet Another Big Ten Weekly Award

Getting recognized for top-notch performances never gets old. Golden Gopher All-American Alicia Rue captured another Big Ten Field Event Athlete of the Week honor with her performance at the Iowa State Classic last weekend. Rue placed second in the meet with a vault of 14 feet, 3 1/4 inches and continues to hold down the No. 2 national ranking in the event. She has posted four NCAA automatic qualifying performances this season.

Rue has earned the Big Ten weekly awards 12 times in her Gopher career. This is her eighth award during the indoor season and third of the 2010 campaign.
