Follow the Gophers at the NCAA West Track Prelims

A number of Golden Gopher track & field athletes competing in the NCAA West Preliminary Round Meet in Austin, Texas, will be in action today. The first field event, the men's discus begins at 12 noon. The first event on the track for the Gophers is the quarterfinal of the women's 4x100-meter relay at 6 p.m.
In the events with qualifying rounds, the top 12 will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 9-12. The five quarterfinal events the Gophers compete in today will advance 12 to the NCAA semifinals in Eugene.

Men's Discus Qualifying - Micah Hegerle, Tyler Kleinhuizen - 12 noon
Women's Hammer Qualifying - DeAnne Hahn - 3 p.m.
Women's High Jump Qualifying - Natalie Devine - 4 p.m.
Men's Triple Jump Qualifying - Raymond Blackledge, Oladipo Fagbemi - 6 p.m.
Women's 4x100m Relay Qualifying - 6 p.m.
Women's 1,500m Quarterfinal - Gabriele Anderson, Nikki Swenson - 6:30 p.m.
Men's 1,500m Quafterfinal - Ben Blankenship - 6:45 p.m.
Men's 5,000m Qualifying - Chris Rombough, Mike Torchia - 8:45 p.m.
Men's 4x400m Relay Qualifying - 9:45 p.m.
