An 2010 NCAA Preliminary Meet competitor in the shot put, discus and hammer • ranks 10th on the Gophers[apos] top 10 list in the weight (59-6 1/4).

2010 Season
Indoor:
Threw in six meets • competed in both the shot put and weight • landed a career-best weight throw of 59-6 1/4 in Big Ten prelims • top throw in the shot put was 56-1 3/4 at the Iowa State Classic. Outdoor: Competed in the shot put (51-7 3/4), discus (167-0) and hammer (180-6) at NCAA Preliminary Meet • also competed in all three events at Big Ten Championships •landed a season best in the shot put of 56-1 1/4 in Big Ten prelim • placed second at the Macalester Twilight in the discus with a season-best throw of 171-9 • finished third at Musco Twilight in hammer with season-best of 185-0 • an Academc All-Big Ten honoree • earned second varsity letter.

2009 Season - Indoor: Competed in eight meets • threw shot put at Big Ten Championships • landed top effort in shot pu of 56-0 placing third at Nebraska Adidias meet • competed in weight throw in five meets. Outdoor: An NCAA Midwest Region Championships competitor in the shot put • threw shot put and hammer in Big Ten Championships • notched a best of 58-1 3/4 in the shot put and 163-10 in the discus at the Bolstorff Twilight • top throw in the hammer was 175-5 in Minnesota Open • Academic All-Big Ten • varsity letterwinner.

2008 Season:
Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.

High School:

A 2007 graduate of Forest Lake Area High School • coaches were Paul Kendrick and the late Bill Streeter • the 2007 Minnesota Class AA shot put (59-10 3/4) champion • placed third as a junior • two-time all-state in discus • state runner-up (156-10) as a sophomore • High School All-American in the shot put at the 2007 Nike Indoor Nationals, placing sixth • named track and field MVP three times • earned the Stan Motschenbacher Award and U.S. Marines Distinguished Athlete Award • Suburban East conference champion twice for the shot put and once for the discus • high school bests were 61-0 3/4 in the shot and 165-8 in the discus • four-time letterwinner in track, three times in football and weight lifting.
