Gophers Swinging Away At The Schenkel Invitational

The Gophers began play in their second event of the spring at the 32nd Annual Schnekel Invitational in Statesboro, Georgia. Hosted by Georgia State University, the tournament is being held at Forest Heights Golf Club.
Competing against Minnesota is Florida, Auburn, Kentucky, Georgia State, Mississipi, Notre Dame, North Carolina, NC State, North Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.
The Gophers lineup features Erik Van Rooyen, Donald Constable, John Trasamar, Robert Bell, and David Haley Junior.
Minnesota is coming off a seventh place finish at Big Ten Match Play in the first tournament since the conclusion of the fall season and will look for a strong showing at the 54-hole tournament.
