Gophers in Fourth at Big Ten Championship

The Minnesota men's golf team is in 10th place after the first two rounds of the Big Ten Championship in West Lafayette, Indiana following scores of 299 and 302 respectively on Saturday. The Gophers sat in fourth after the first 18 holes, and despite slipping as the day progressed, are only 10 shots back of third with 36 holes remaining.
Erik Van Rooyen leads the team so far in a tie for ninth position following consecutive rounds of 73. Donald Constable posted a 75 in the first round but rebounded nicely with an even-par 72 and is tied for 12th .
Coming off an solid 20th place finish at last week's Robert Kepler Invite, Cameron White is currently tied for 41stth following scores of 75 and 79. Donald Constable posted a 75 as well and is tied for 22nd after the first 18 holes,
David Haley Jr. opened with a 76 and followed with an 80 to put him in 46th . Jon Trasamar rounds out the lineup with an 80 and 78 respectively.
Illinois currently holds the top spot with two rounds remaining, with Iowa maintaining second and Penn State third.
Third round play will begin tomorrow at 9 am.
