Minnesota's baseball team is in Columbus, Ohio, for the 2011 Big Ten Tournament, which begins Wednesday with the Gophers' opening game versus the Ohio State Buckeyes.
On Tuesday afternoon, the team practiced at Huntington Park, home of the Class AAA Columbus Clippers and the site of this year's tournament. Minnesota head coach John Anderson also took part in the pre-tournament press conference, and some video from the presser, as well as of Huntington Park, is available below.
The defending champion, Minnesota (22-22, 13-11 Big Ten) won its Big Ten-record ninth title in 2010 and is making its record 27th appearance. The Gophers are seeded fifth, while the Buckeyes (25-25, 13-11) enter as the fourth seed after taking two-of-three versus Minnesota last weekend at Target Field.
Wednesday's game will start at 11:05 p.m. (CT), and will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. The internet broadcast of the game will be available free of charge in the Gold Zone.
