Women's Rowing to Hold Annual Meetings

The women's rowing team will hold its annual informational meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 6, and Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 3 p.m. and Thursday, Sept. 8, at 4:30 pm at the U of M Boathouse. The Boathouse is located in the East River Park between Coffman and the Mississippi River.
Any students interested in learning more about joining Minnesota rowing should attend one of these meeting. Gopher rowers are among the university's fittest and academically focused students on campus.
What to know:
1. Rowers are typically tall (5'9" and above)
2. Coxswains are generally much smaller. Coxswains should weigh less than 115 pounds. Coxswains are responsible for everything from steering shells to planning and executing race strategy.
3. There is ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
What to bring:
1. Proof of health insurance (a photocopy of your insurance card, front and back)
2. Fill out the form (file physical examination 09)
3. Start the registration process with the NCAA Eligibility Center (go to eligibilitycenter.org and start the process for New Student-Athlete)
Then head down to the U of M Boathouse for one of the meetings on:
Tuesday, Sept. 6, 3 P.M.
Wednesday, Sept. 7, 3 P.M.
Thursday, Sept. 8, 4:30 P.M.
