Day 1 Results

Through 36 holes at the Central District Invitational in Parrish, Fla., the Golden Gophers are in 13th place. Minnesota posted a score of 311 in each of its two rounds today. Banchalee Theinthong leads the Gophers with a two-round score of 153 (+9).

Theinthong posted first- and second-round scores of 76 and 77, respectively. She is tied for 39th place. Minnesota's second golfer, Jackie Shepherd, experienced a big turnaround from the first to second round. After shooting a team-high 81 in the morning, she posted a team-low 74 in the afternoon. She now sits at 11-over (t-50th). Carmen Laguna is tied with Shepherd after rounds of 76 and 79. Taylor Quinn and Anna Laorr-both seeing their first spring tournament action-are tied with two-round scores of 161.

After the first round, Minnesota was in 11th place, ahead of Kent State and three Big Ten teams (Northwestern, Indiana, and Michigan). Through two rounds, the Gophers still lead Indiana (624) and Michigan (628).

No teams played under par today. Oklahoma leads the tournament with a team score of 584 (+8). TCU follows close behind at 586. On the individual leaderboard, the Sooners' Chirapat Jao-Javanil holds a five-stroke advantage over her closest competitors. Her 6-under score of 138 makes her one of only three players under par for the day.

The third and final round of the tournament tees off at 8 a.m. ET tomorrow. Live results will again be available at golfstat.com.
