Jorgensen Named Big Ten Diver of the Week

Minnesota senior Kristoffer Jorgensen was named the Big Ten Conference Diver of the Week Tuesday afternoon for a pair of strong performances at the Minnesota Challenge last weekend, the conference office announced.

Jorgensen earned his first-career weekly accolade by notching a victory in 3 meter diving with a score of 393.50, before posting Minnesota's highest mark of the season in 1 meter diving with a first-place score of 393.50.

Both of Jorgensen's scored were NCAA Zone qualifying marks.

The Gophers will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, Feb. 22-25 for the 2012 Big Ten Swimming and Diving Championships.
