Sophomore Kayla Slechta came in third, respectively, with a 9.825 while sophomore Dusti Russell rounded out the top four scores on the apparatus with a 9.775.

Sophomore Justine Cherwink checked into the lineup for the first time this season after being sidelined due to an Achilles injury she suffered back in October. Cherwink posted a 9.700 for her first routine of the season.

Following the first two rotations, the Maroon and Gold had the advantage over Iowa State 97.950 to 97.475. In the third rotation, Golich claimed a share of her second crown of the night with scoring a 9.825 on beam and guiding Minnesota to a 48.850. Senior Amber Hammerschmidt was the highest scoring Gopher with a 9.775, which garnered a tie for fourth, respectively.
