Howard Wins Discus at Texas Relays

Dominique Howard picked up a discus title this afternoon at the Texas Relays. Howard won the "B" section after a toss of 181-07 (55.34m) on his sixth and final throw at Mike A. Myers Stadium, on the campus of the University of Texas. His throw also puts him seventh on the Gopher all-time list.
Senior Trey Davis finished with a mark of 168-01 (51.23m) for 11th place and Justin Barber landed a throw 166-08 (50.79m) to finish 13th overall.
Mark Jennings competed in the "B" section of the shot put, but did not record a mark.
Minnesota will close out the Texas Relays tomorrow with Davis competing in the shot put "A" section group
