Gophers Host Wisconsin Sunday on Lake Phalen

The University of Minnesota women's rowing team will host its lone home event of the season when it goes head-to-head versus Border-Battle rival Wisconsin Sunday morning on Lake Phalen in St. Paul beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The race will start on the north end of Lake Phalen, with fans encouraged to gather on the south end of the lake to get the best view of the finish line.

The Gophers' second novice eight will open the competition at the top of the hour, with races running every 15 minutes following its start. The second varsity four will start at 9:15 a.m. and will be followed by the second varsity eight, the first novice eight and first varsity four. Minnesota's first varsity eight will race in the event finale vs. No. 9-ranked Wisconsin at 10:15 a.m.

Directions to Lake Phalen
From UofM campus
• Take 94 East to 35E North
• Take the Larpenteur / Wheelock exit
• Take a right on Wheelock, go 1-2 miles to a stoplight (Arcade). Keep going straight
• Lake Phalen Golf Course is on your left
• At the stop sign, go left into park. Go up 50-100 meters, the parking lot is on your right

From the South
• Take 35E North
• Take the Larpenteur/Wheelock exit
• Follow directions as above
