Gophers Wrap up Weekend on the Track

The Golden Gopher Men's track and field team wrapped up the Stanford Invitational today in Palo Alto, CA. No team score was kept during the two-day event, but Minnesota finished with some strong performances over the weekend.
Minnesota finished with four runners in the top 10 of the 800 meters. David Pachuta finished third overall after clocking in at 1:48.45. It was a new personal best time for Pachuta who is now ranked fifth on the all-time list. Harun Abda took fifth (1:48.87), Nick Hutton placed ninth (1:49.53) and Travis Burkstrand rounded out the top 10 with a time of 1:49.62.
Cameron Boy picked up a third place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 21.33.
In the field events Quentin Mege finished third overall in the hammer throw. Mege landed a toss of 205-9 (62.72m) on his second throw of the day. Mark Jennings landed a mark of 55-8 ¼ (16.97m) in the shot put for fifth place.
