Stein Advances to Finals at Royal Canadian Henley Regatta

Jacqueline Stein, a sophomore on the University of Minnesota rowing team, advanced to the finals in both the Senior Women's 8+ and Under 23 Women's 8+ events at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catherines, Ontario. The coxswain, who is the first American Gopher to take part in the regatta, is competing with her club team, Penn A.C. Rowing Association.

In the Senior Women's 8+, Stein helped her team to a second-place finish in Heat A with a time of 6:48.36, with the top-three teams from each heat advancing to the Finals. Penn A.C. will race for the HIH President's Trophy Thursday afternoon at 4:24 p.m. CT.

Stein and Penn A.C. also placed second in their heat in the Under 23 Women's 8+ with a time of 6:50.58 and will compete for the Geoffrey Taylor Trophy Friday afternoon at 4:50 p.m. CT.
