Gophers Hit the Road for Clemson Invite

The University of Minnesota women's rowing team is set to travel to Clemson, S.C., to participate in the Clemson Invite on Lake Hartwell Saturday and Sunday. The field includes seven teams currently ranked in the CRCA Top 20, including No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 UCLA, No. 13 Michigan, No. 18 Louisville, No. 19 Cornell and No. 20 Duke.
Along with the host Tigers and the Gophers, UCF, Indiana, Miami (FL), Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Penn, Rhode Island, Tennessee and Texas will also compete in the event.
Minnesota will begin competition at 8:00 a.m. CT Saturday, with the First Varsity Eight taking on Louisville, Virginia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and UCF. The Second Varsity Eight will follow at 8:21 a.m. and the First Varsity Four will conclude the morning session for Minnesota at 8:42 a.m.
The Maroon and Gold will take on two Big Ten opponents, Indiana and Michigan State, along with Louisville, Tennessee and Rhode Island in the afternoon session. The first event, the 1V4, will start at 4:36 p.m., followed by the 2V8 at 4:57 p.m. and the 1V8 at 5:18 p.m.
The event comes to a close for the Gophers Sunday morning, with the 1V8 starting the morning session at 8:00 a.m. vs. Texas, Ohio State, UCLA, Oregon State and UCF. The 2V8 will get underway at 8:21 a.m. and the 1V4 at 8:42 a.m.
The event will be streamed live on TigerCast on ClemsonTigers.com and results will be updated throughout each session.
