Gophers Conclude Competition at Clemson Invite

The University of Minnesota women's rowing team tallied two third-place finishes and a fourth-place finish to conclude competition at the Clemson Invite Sunday morning on Lake Hartwell in Clemson, S.C.
The Gophers' First Varsity Eight opened the final day of competition by placing third with a time of 6:52.2 to defeat Oregon State, Texas and UCF, with No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 UCLA finishing 1-2 in the event.
Minnesota's Second Varsity Eight also finished third with a time of 7:09.9, while the First Varsity Four notched a fourth-place finish in 6:43.3 on a 1500 meter course.
The Maroon and Gold will be back in the water on May 5 when it travels to Madison, Wis., to face-off with Big Ten rivals Wisconsin and Michigan State in league action.
