Island Time • The Gophers rang in the New Year in Hawaii, arriving for the annual training trip a few hours before 2014. Since then, the men and women's swim team have been fiercely training in efforts for continuing the success the women's team has had. Last Encounter • The Gopher women were undefeated in the 2012-2013 season, including a win against Hawaii. Minnesota defeated Hawaii 201-92. The highlights included Minnesota winning all 16 events. The Gophers also beat the Rainbow Warriors the previous year, again winning each of those events.
Ranks • The Minnesota women are currently ranked No. 10 according to the NCAA among Division I universities, with a 5-0 record. The 2013 B1G Champions are a continued threat, ranking above all other teams in the conference. The Hawaii women are not ranked.
