The University of Minnesota rowing team sent its top varsity 8+ boat to the Head of the Charles this weekend, where the Gophers placed 17th out of 34 in the Women's Championship Eights. Minnesota's A boat was led by Lynn Hodnett and Tabitha Andelin, including Jessica Flakne, Kylie Andersen, Sara Scarbro, Rebecca Braak, Lisa Weeks, Madison Koch, and Taylor Gainey.

Minnesota's lone boat finished with a time of 17.24.02, with the winning time being 15.44.79. Minnesota finished ahead of Notre Dame, Boston College, Georgetown, Cambridge, Brown, and others.

Coach Davis was happy with Minnesota's effort, citing an improved time from last year despite strong head winds in this year's event.

Minnesota will now look ahead to next weekend's trip to Madison, Wis where the Gophers will compete against Wisconsin and Indiana.
