Minnesota men's golf will close out its fall season at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate. Teams will play 36 holes on Oct. 27 and 18 on Oct. 28 in Dallas. Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. both days.

The Royal Oaks will differ from Minnesota's previous tournaments this season in that six players will compete with five scoring, instead of the usual five playing and four scoring.

The Golden Gophers' team finishes this fall have ranged from fourth to 14th. Most recently, they were eighth at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational. They will look to put forth a good showing in their last event until the Big Ten Match Play in February.

The travel squad: Jose Mendez, Matt Rachey, Riley Johnson, Rúnar Arnorsson, Daniel Luftspring and Grady Meyer will make the trip to Dallas. The Gophers decided part of the lineup in qualifying this week. Each of the six members of the travel squad has played in at least one tournament counting toward the team score this fall. Mendez has finished in the top 20 of 12 straight tournaments. He has been in the top five twice in four tournaments this fall.

The field: Baylor will host Duke, Houston, Iowa, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech and UT Arlington along with the Gophers. Minnesota has faced Baylor, Iowa, Michigan (twice), New Mexico (twice), Texas Tech and UT Arlington previously this fall.

The course: Royal Oaks Country Club will have a par-71, 7,068-yard layout.
