The No. 4 Gopher Hockey program hosts the U.S. Under-18 Team on Friday, Nov. 21 at Mariucci Arena in exhibition action. Minnesota's final exhibition game of the season will feature a 7 p.m. CT puck drop with the game being streamed on BTN PLUS.

Military Appreciate Night at Mariucci
The Gophers will celebrate Military Appreciation Night at Mariucci Arena on Friday with several military themed events occurring during the exhibition game including a ceremonial puck drop. Minnesota will also once again feature a Gopher alumni autographed puck surprise sale during the game on the concourse by Section 2 featuring pucks signed by Nick Bjugstad, Alex Goligoski, Thomas Vanek and more. Additionally, Friday's Chuck-A-Puck prize will be a limited edition Gopher Hockey camouflage jersey. All proceeds from the puck surprise and the chuck-a-puck contests will benefit Defending the Blue Line.

USA Hockey Flavor
Five current Gophers skated with the U.S. National Development Team Program prior to joining the Maroon & Gold -- Brady Skjei, Travis Boyd, Hudson Fasching and newcomers Ryan Collins and Jack Glover. Friday's exhibition game marks the first time the two teams have played since Oct. 26, 2012 -- a 2-2 overtime tie. Gopher Hockey sophomore Vinni Lettieri scored a goal for the U.S. Under-18 Team in the game as a temporary player for the squad while Fasching was also on roster for the game.

Ambroz Gets No. 50
Senior forward Seth Ambroz snapped a three-game point drought last Saturday to pick up his 50th career point with the Gophers. Ambroz's assist on Leon Bristedt's goal gives him 29 assists and 21 goals in 130 games.

Wilcox Stands Tall
Coming off a two-loss weekend against Minnesota Duluth, the one positive for the Gophers was the play of Adam Wilcox, who posted his highest save totals of the season over the weekend at 35 on Friday and followed up with another 32 saves on Saturday for a .931 save percentage.

Regrouping at Home
Minnesota's home loss on Friday snapped the team's 18-game home unbeaten streak, which at the time was the longest streak in the nation and the third-longest streak in program history. UMD bookended the streak with wins against the Gophers on Nov. 24, 2013 and Nov. 14, 2014 -- a span of 355 days without a loss at home.
