Six Gophers Invited to USA Hockey Camp

MINNEAPOLIS - Six current and former Gophers are among the 40 players invited to the USA Hockey Women's Winter Training Camp, Dec. 27-31, at Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, Minn., USA Hockey announced Friday afternoon.
Current Gophers Hannah Brandt, Dani Cameranesi, Milica McMillen and Lee Stecklein will join alumni Megan Bozek and Anne Schleper in representing Minnesota at the training camp.
Highlighting the camp roster are 16 members of the silver medal-winning 2014 U.S. Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team, including Bozek, Schleper and Stecklein. The roster includes 14 defensemen, 20 forwards and six goaltenders.
All practices and scrimmages at the 2014 USA Hockey Women's Winter Training Camp will be open to the public. Reagan Carey, USA Hockey's director of women's hockey, will oversee the camp and Ken Klee will serve as head coach. Klee will be assisted by Robb Stauber, Bob Deraney and Brett Strot.
