Competing in front of the home crowd for the third time in the past nine days, No. 1 Minnesota welcomed No. 8 Oklahoma State to the Sports Pavilion last Saturday for a battle of top 10 teams. For both squads, the dual was the first test against a ranked opponent this season, one from which Minnesota emerged with a 19-15 victory.

Minnesota took six matches from the Cowboys, beginning with three decisions from No. 1 Logan Storley (174), No. 15 Brett Pfarr (184) and No. 1 Scott Schiller. Two Oklahoma State victories evened the score at nine heading to the halftime intermission, but the Gophers struck back with a pair of victories coming out of the break from No. 2 Chris Dardanes (133) and No. 3 Nick Dardanes (141). With a 20-8 major decision, Chris scored the only bonus points on the evening for the Gophers. No. 1 Dylan Ness (157) clinched the dual for the Maroon and Gold in the night's ninth match with his 6-0 decision.

Top-ranked Minnesota will hit the road later this week to compete in the Cliff Keen Invitational this Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas.
