Siebert Field Recognized as Distinguished Field

The American Sports Builders Association recognized the University of Minnesota's Siebert Field with a 2013 Distinguished Single Field Facility Award for excellence in design and construction. The Gopher baseball team will play its second season in the facility this year.

Ground broke for new Siebert Field in June of 2012 and the field was completed in September of the same year. The Gophers' first game there was against Ohio State on April 5, 2013.

Kiefer Specialty Flooring installed the Mondo Sport Turf playing surface, DLR Group was the facility's architect and PCL Construction was the general contractor for the project.
