Gophers Climb Back into Nation's Top Five

MINNEAPOLIS - After their win over Iowa and Brockport at home Saturday night, the Golden Gopher men's gymnastics team has moved back into the top five in the national rankings. Minnesota moved up one spot this week in both the national rankings and the coaches poll to rank No. 5 in both with an average score of 433.633.
Starting this week, the national rankings now reflect a four-meet average for teams and individuals. Previously the rankings reflected just three meets.
Ahead of the Gophers in the top five are No. 1 Oklahoma (443.283), No. 2 Stanford (442.017), No. 3 Michigan (439.983) and No. 4 Ohio State (439.750).
Just below the Gophers are fellow Big Ten teams No. 6 Illinois (432.400), No. 7 Iowa (431.200) and No. 8 Penn State (430.900).
Below is how the Gophers stack up against the national leaders in each event as a team and as individuals for the week of March 10.
