Gophers Sweep Lady Vols on the Road

The University of Minnesota women's rowing team wrapped up its Spring Break trip with a dual at Tennessee on Friday morning, with the Gophers sweeping the Lady Volunteers in its five events on the Tennessee River.
The Gophers' 2V8 2V8 finished nearly 14 seconds ahead of Tennessee in its race to lead the day by posting a time of 6:37.6, compared to Tennessee's time of 6:51.8.
Minnesota's 1V8 also had a nice morning, as it finished first in a time of 6:29.2 to defeat Tennessee's time of 6:32.9.
Each of the Gophers' Varsity 4+ boats claimed first-place honors in the road dual, as well.
Minnesota returns to the water April 5-6 for the Dual Challenge in Boston, Mass.
