Saturday Game Canceled, Doubleheader Sunday

LINCOLN, Neb. – The second game of the No. 16/19 Minnesota softball team’s Big Ten-opening series against No. 15/17 Nebraska Saturday has been canceled due to cold temperatures in Lincoln, Neb. The Gophers and Huskers will now wrap up their series Sunday with a doubleheader that begins at noon CT at Bowlin Stadium.

Minnesota won the first game of the series Friday, 7-2, to improve to 23-3 on the season overall and 1-0 in conference play. The Gophers went 14-6 in for a third-place finish in the Big Ten last season.
